There is a lack of research in the emergency department setting of infection control practices. Our study is aimed at identifying isolation practices and visual auditing of PPE practices and isolation of patients requiring transmission based precautions in the emergency setting.

I would like to present to get feedback from industry leaders in finding out what most concerns ICPs most about PPE practises and identify research priorities in this area.

I will also be  seeking an expression of interest in by infection control academics  to  co-author this body of work commencing in 2017. This project has been supported by the Medtronic infection control award and a grant is  currently being applied for to fund this study.
