The 2016 ACIPC Conference will showcase advances, research and topical issues relating to infection prevention and control along with the latest innovations from industry, as well as providing invaluable networking opportunities.

Q. Where will the conference be held?

This year’s conference will be held at Pullman & Mercure Melbourne Albert Park, 20 November – 23 November 2016.

Q. What are the deadlines for abstract submission, scholarship applications, and registration and accommodation bookings?

The deadlines are as follows:

• Abstract submission: Friday 17 June 2016

• Scholarship Submission: Friday 17 June 2016

• Early Bird Registration: Sunday 9 October 2016

• Accommodation booking: Friday 21 October 2016

• Standard Registration: Friday 18 November 2016

Q. What is the climate usually like in Melbourne for the time of year?

The conference will be held in Spring and temperatures are usually comfortable:

Max average temperature: 18º C

Min average temperature: 9º C

Q. Are hotel transfers available?

All hotels listed on this website are within walking distance to the conference therefore transfers to or from hotels will not be provided.

Q. What is the dress code for the Conference?

During the Conference days, smart casual attire is preferred.

For the social program, smart casual attire is recommended.

Q. When do the special rates end?

Early bird registration closes on Friday 7th October. Standard Registration closes on Friday 18th November

Q. What’s included in my conference registration fee?

The conference registration fee includes catering for morning teas, lunches and afternoon teas. The registration also includes all-inclusive functions (i.e. welcome reception and conference dinner). You will also receive daily conference sessions with our informative and entertaining speakers.

Please note: Day registration fees do not include a conference dinner ticket.

Q. Is my company able to book an exhibition space?

Yes, we invite you to exhibit your product or service in the conference trade exhibition. The ACIPC 2016 exhibition will be situated in Pullman & Mercure Melbourne Albert Park, Melbourne where refreshment breaks will be held.

About the College

The ACIPC is the peak body for Infection Prevention and Control professionals in the Australasian region. Our stated vision is the prevention and control of infection in our communities. We commenced in January 2012 bringing together the various State and Territory infection control associations formerly in AICA (The Australian Infection Control Association) to support and encourage collaboration across Australasia.
